Agri­cul­ture still makes a sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tion to the well­be­ing of peo­ple gen­er­al­ly with its seed­ing and har­vest­ing activ­i­ties. Sup­ply­ing the pop­u­la­tion with basic nutri­tion would be impos­si­ble with­out agri­cul­ture. In order for agri­cul­ture to ful­fill this all-impor­tant assign­ment, it requires mod­ern seed­ing and har­vest­ing machines, which allow it to work effi­cient­ly. The devel­op­ment and con­struc­tion of these seed­ing and har­vest­ing machines by the agra-indus­try, which is nor­mal­ly rep­re­sent­ed by mid-sized com­pa­nies, often includes the use of rollers for the fur­ther con­vey­ing of crops. These machines usu­al­ly involve all-embrac­ing solu­tions with com­plex func­tions, which also include feed and dis­charge devices.

Rollers in con­vey­or tech­nol­o­gy for agriculture

Agri­cul­tur­al machines oper­ate in the open air and are there­fore exposed to wind and weath­er. This means our cus­tomers attach great impor­tance to the fact that our rollers are made from rust­proof mate­r­i­al. In addi­tion, stor­age of our rollers must be well sealed, so that no dirt par­ti­cles may pen­e­trate the car­ri­er roller bear­ing under harsh con­di­tions. This is the only way trou­ble-free oper­a­tion of our rollers can be guar­an­teed over a longer peri­od of time. The chal­lenge in the case of these con­tracts is that har­vest­ing machines whose crops are sub­se­quent­ly used for pro­cess­ing into foods are always exposed to some mois­ture. This applies to both the har­vest­ing itself due to the air humid­i­ty as well as clean­ing the har­vesters with water from a hose after the work is done. It is espe­cial­ly this afore­men­tioned but nec­es­sary clean­ing pro­ce­dure that adds sig­nif­i­cant­ly to the expo­sure of the sen­si­tive bear­ings of the rollers. Only a prop­er­ly reli­able seal can pro­tect the car­ri­er roller bear­ing from pre­ma­ture wear and tear.

Agri­cul­tur­al machines as a com­plete solution

Har­vesters, which are designed to be com­plete solu­tions, process unpeeled pota­toes, for exam­ple. These are found in plas­tic con­tain­ers, they have to be cleaned and con­veyed with care. The rollers are locat­ed under a con­vey­or belt. When­ev­er dis­rup­tions to the con­vey­or devices on these har­vesters occur, the entire con­vey­or sys­tem must be replaced in some cas­es. How­ev­er, some­times it is enough to replace the no longer func­tion­al rollers sep­a­rate­ly. A par­tic­u­lar­ly suit­able series of rollers in such cas­es is the series 16 in the recessed ver­sion. This series con­sists of a stain­less steel tube with axle. In addi­tion, these rollers with ball bear­ings made of stain­less steel are equipped and sealed with felt rings. A spe­cial cus­tomer request is to per­son­al­ize the labyrinth with the customer’s name (pri­vate labeling).

Spe­cial require­ments of the agri­cul­tur­al machines

The oper­a­tion of agri­cul­tur­al machines with con­vey­ing devices impos­es spe­cial require­ments on the rollers of these con­vey­ing devices. The seals of the bear­ings of these rollers must meet the high­est stan­dards. This is the only way the bear­ings can func­tion reli­ably and trou­ble-free even after pro­longed oper­a­tion. Thanks to our exten­sive stock of dif­fer­ent ver­sions of our rollers, we can usu­al­ly ful­fill any cus­tomer order with our stan­dard range of rollers. Some­times it is required that the bear­ing seal must be adapt­ed to achieve a sat­is­fac­to­ry seal­ing result in a par­tic­u­lar­ly del­i­cate appli­ca­tion in the case of extreme contamination.

We can nor­mal­ly exe­cute our cus­tomer orders imme­di­ate­ly and prompt­ly. Only the usu­al arrange­ments on the kind of appli­ca­tion in ques­tion are nec­es­sary. We then choose the appro­pri­ate rollers for the cur­rent­ly pend­ing stan­dard or even spe­cial case.

Con­clu­sion

We do not con­clude any ser­vice con­tracts with our cus­tomers for the main­te­nance of rollers, as we regard these prod­ucts as sub­ject to wear and tear. We cater to cus­tomer requests in a way that we can offer them quan­ti­ty assur­ance con­tracts. This is how we ensure that the cus­tomer is prompt­ly and imme­di­ate­ly sup­plied with the required replace­ment of rollers in the event of dis­rup­tive down­times in the short term.

Our cus­tomers are sat­is­fied with our prod­uct qual­i­ty and our deliv­ery options at short notice, as these cus­tomer-friend­ly deliv­ery terms result in an increase in their effi­cien­cy. It is nor­mal­ly unnec­es­sary to replace com­plete feed­er devices. In most cas­es, dis­rup­tions that occur can be elim­i­nat­ed by replac­ing defec­tive rollers prompt­ly and quick­ly. Our cus­tomers appre­ci­ate our reli­a­bil­i­ty that also enables them to pro­duce and sup­ply spe­cial ver­sions of rollers with­in fixed deliv­ery times as required.
